ZAINABIYA CHILD SPONSORSHIP SCHEME

Zainabiya Child Sponsorship Scheme has been in operation in Bihar State for the last 15 years. Thousands of children have benefited from this scheme. Hundreds of children, who would otherwise have been illiterate, have managed to acquire university education and are now professionals in various fields.

We have opened Zainabiya Academies in Gopalpur (Siwan), Mohammadpur Mobarak (Muzaffarpur) and Zainabiya Coaching Institute in Kamra Mohalla of Muzaffarpur town. In these Academies poor children get education almost on fully subsidized rates. We always welcome children from all communities in our schools.

ESTABLISHMENT OF ZAINABIYA ACADEMIES IN DIFFERENT TOWNS OF BIHAR

The purpose of Zainabiya Child Sponsorship Scheme is to eradicate ignorance, illiteracy from the community and to provide education to the children of every poor members of our society. It is our firm belief that education is truly the only long term remedy for overcoming poverty and evil scourge that go hand in hand with poverty, like forced child labour and debt slavery. Members of the scheme and their representatives scout around the state, looking for pockets of population who are followers of Ahlul-Bayt and are trapped in the shackles of poverty to such and extent that they are left with no other choice but to use every resource that is available, including their own children as a means of earning. This is indeed a shameful indictment upon our community especially us who have had the benefits of teaching from the Prophet, The Quran and The Ahlul-Bayt.

It is the ultimate aim of this scheme that there should not be even one mother who would raise her hands and complain to Allah (s.w.t) that in spite of well to do members within her community, she was forced to sell her children into debt slavery to feed her family.

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO SENIOR CITIZENS

In Bihar majority of old people are struggling for their survival. Due to bad economic condition they lack basic provision of survival including food, clothing, medicine etc. Under Al-Qaim Sponsor Programme of Senior Advisory Board of World Federation we have started making payment of five hundred rupees per month to old persons.
We are trying to enable them to afford the basic necessities of survival and empowering them to live with dignity and peace of mind. This scheme has been started in Bihar in the year 2006 due to personal interest of Dr. Akbar Mithanee,
Rahil Hussein Kassamali of World Federation talking with the Senior Citizens of Bihar
Chairman of Senior Advisory Board of World Federation. In the initial stage we have selected 120 poor persons living in different villages of Bihar. The payment is being made to each and every individual through bank draft. Every senior citizen selected under this scheme opens a bank account and the amount which is to be paid to them is transferred to their bank account through bank drafts. No cash payment is permitted. We have a plan to cover entire Bihar state.
Mr. Hasin Shakur Ramin of World Federation talking with the Senior Citizen of Gopalpur
It will not be out of place to mention that this scheme is bound to be a very popular scheme, but at the same time, people should understand that we cannot fulfill the requirements of each and every senior citizen of Bihar.
In the year 2005, we have distributed very good quality of blankets among the poor senior citizen of Bihar and Jharkhand State. Those poor senior persons were not in a position to afford purchasing blankets even of a poor quality for protecting themselves during winter season.

SELF-EMPLOYMENT SCHEME

From 1991 to 1996 we tried to introduce the scheme of self employment by giving financial assistance for doing small businesses. We had given a sum of rupees two lacks sixty three thousands eight hundred and seventy nine as financial assistance to a few persons under self-employment scheme.

Unfortunately nobody could succeed and at the end every person reported that they were not successful in their business due to one reason or the other.
Due to this fact this scheme has been dropped.
